DANCE QUARTET: 4 magic Ballets in Florence
One of the most famous Music Festival in Italy, Il Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, now in it’s 78th edition, meets the expectation and greets the month of July with a sublime mix of styles in four ballets not to be missed.
Starting from July 26th the Dance Quartet will be staged at the Nuovo Teatro dell’Opera in Florence.
Let the dance begin “Uneven” with scenes and choreography by Cayetano Soto.
The work evokes the loss of self and precedes, “Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune”, a story about the sensual encounter between a faun and some nymphs in the version by the famous choreographer Davide Bombana enhanced by impressionist music of the French composer Claude Debussy.
By the choreographer from Milan the third ballet as well, “La Valse” the walts anti-walts with music by Maurice Ravel.
Sweet dreams and anxieties of a teenage girl are caught in the fourth ballet, “Le Spectre de la Rose” with choreography by German Marco Goecke.
Poker Ballets with different styles sometimes opposing each other.
