1 euro museums entrance fee on 2nd July
Once again the Florentine museums open their doors to everyone during the evening hours. Saturday July 2nd, 2016, in fact, following the XXIV General Conference of ICOM (International Council of Museums), the MIBACT will also celebrate in Florence the museums’ celebration.
For now, the Uffizi Gallery and the Galleria dell’Accademia have confirmed their participation. The entrance will have a nominal charge of € 1.00 (subject to legal gratuity), it is not necessary to book and the opening hours will be from 7 pm to 10 pm.
The entrance fee to the Bargello Museum for the opening evening 8 pm to 11 pm will be € 1.00, while it will be free the next day being the first Sunday of the month. During the evening, exactly at 8.30 pm and at 9.30 pm, dr. Marino Marini will lead a guided tour in the museum.
Palazzo Davanzati and Casa Martelli will also take part in the initiative with a special opening on July 2nd from 4 pm to 8 pm with a nominal charge of € 1.00 (subject to legal gratuity). Not only visits, on Saturday at Palazzo Davanzati there will be a meeting with historians at 5 pm and 6 pm at while at Casa Martelli at 7 pm Dr. Monica Bietti will present the text “museo casa Marteli a Firenze”.
Still on the subject of the special openings of the museums in Florence,you can visit the Galleria dell’Accademia by night from 7 pm to 10 pm every Tuesday from May 10th to September 27th, 2016 thanks to the “National project opening continued for three hours.” The entrance to the museum will be paid and you can book your visit through the web site www.galleriaaccademiafirenze.beniculturali.it or calling the telephone number of Museums in Florence 055 294883.
