MusArt Festival: food, culture and good music in Florence
Inside the Florence summer program, wide space is dedicated to the music. It will be the MusArt Festival, first edition, to give a start to this musical summer season.
From 19th to 23rd July 2016, in fact, great Italian artists will perform in the beautiful Piazza della Santissima Annunziata. This festival will aim mainly to unite the charm of Florence, its art and its history in high level cultural events without forgetting the local gastronomy: art, music and food in short.
During the four evenings, spectators can visit free of charge, from 8 pm until the beginning of the show, some of the most significant art venues that overlook Piazza della Santissima Annunziata: among these lo Spedale degli Innocenti, la Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Innocenti, la Chiesa di San Francesco Poverino, il Giardino del Museo Archeologico, la Basilica di Santissima Annunziata and la Mensa della Caritas Diocesana – San Francesco.
With the concert ticket you can also take advantage of discounts for admission to some museums in the city, to be used until 31st August. From 1st to 23rd July, in the Institute of the Innocents (time from 6 p.m. to 11 pm, until 12 am in the concert days) it will be possible, free of charge, to visit the photographic exhibition “Because the Night” organized by ‘ New Press Photo agency’ which covers ten years (1979-1988) of big concerts in Florence.
On the occasion of the concerts there will also be from 7 pm a free shuttle bus service to/from the underground car park Parterre of Florence Parking access from Via Madonna Della Tosse, 9 (cost € 2 per hour – daily rate € 10).
