Bargello’s Summer 2015
Estate al Bargello is one of the most important date in the summer calendar of the city of Florence. Every year a rich and various schedule of theatre, dancing, classical, contemporary and art music it’s offered to the public in the yard of the National Museum of Bargello. These events are organised thanks to the collaboration with some of the most respected art company of our area, such as the Florentine Chamber Orchestra and the Tuscany Theatre Fundation.
It’s no use saying that part of the credit for the great outcome of this festival is the wonderful venue it’s set in: the National Museum of Bargello is a majestic building of the XI century which became the location of the Museum in 1865. It houses a huge collection of sculptures of the Renaissance and various artefacts of the time, so the yard, its Portico and the octagonal stone well are the perfect stage for this cultural event that starts at the end of May till the last week of September.
The complete calendar of this year event is available on Estate al Bargello website (Italian only).
The first date is on Thursday May 28, 2015 (and goes on till Monday June 1, 2015) at 09.15 pm for the National Premiere of the show ‘Inferno Novecento’, written by Federico Tiezzi and played by Sandro Lombardi and David Riondino, that belongs to the Progetto Divina Commedia.
