Handicrafts Trade Fair
The 79th edition of the Handicrafts Trade Fair has started on Friday 24th of April and it will last the 3rd of May at Fortezza da Basso. Since 1931, the fair has hosted the major leading figures of national and international handicrafts.
For ten days, non-stop from 10 am to 10,30 pm (last day closure at 8 pm) the audience will be involved in an atmosphere of celebration, entertainment and business with live demonstrations, meetings with artisans and new talents.
On 55.000 squared meters, more than 800 exhibitors, from every corner of Italy and from 50 different foreign countries, propose to you unique, original, handmade objects, made in various styles and materials. You can buy traditional or new slant arts and crafts.
Like every year, a country is elected as an honor guest. This year is the turn of Tibet. This charming country has 500 squared meters at its own disposal, in which it let the audience know its culture, its handmade products, its dances, its melodies and its cooking.
Near the traditional areas, this year there are many news, such as “Rendez Vous – Vintage in Fortezza”: a space entirely dedicated to the world of vintage, with vintage tailoring, accessories, design objects and exclusive modern antiques. Moreover: Casa In & Out an exhibition dedicated to nowadays way of living, renovation techniques, new technologies, and to all those new proposals about our dream house.
Among new entries, Centopercento BIO, which hosts companies that produce certified biological products, being part of the short supply chain, for a healthy, safe, eco-friendly diet.
Here come again this year, Bellezza e Benessere, Beauty and Well being, showcase of handmade cosmetics where you can find face-body treatments, wellness, tips and a lot of cuddles; T-Riciclo Green Market, the area dedicated to recycling and eco-sustainability and Centopercento, the space reserved to young emerging talents who create original products using many different materials.
The fair includes a food and beverage area, with national and international cooking and food courts outside. You can, also, leave your children in good company of I’ bruco mela staff and enjoy the fair.
The Handicrafts Trade Fair is open every day from 10 am to 10.30 pm (the 3rd May closure at 8 pm).
