Florence museums: Accademia Gallery by night
A great opportunity to visit one of the most important Florentine museums, known as the “home” of David by Michelangelo: Accademia Gallery of Florence will be open until 22 PM, on Tuesday and Thursday (for free), until 30th September 2012.
The nights of the Gallery will be enlivened by Work n. 860 Runners performance by Martin Creed, from Tate Modern of London, in which some runners will run around the art objects to represent the connection with the visitors of the museum.
During this period the museum will guest “Art returns to Art”, exhibition with more than forty works by thirty-two contemporary artists, and Department of Musical Instruments, with strings and instruments from Luigi Cherubini Academy of Music.
