Gucci Museum in Florence
To celebrate 90 years of the maison, on September 26th, 2011 will be opened in Florence the Gucci Museum, at Palazzo della Mercatanzia in Piazza della Signoria. The exhibition is over three floors and 1,700 square feet of space. At the entrance is located the Cadillac Seville, designed by Gucci in 1979, in the three upper floors can see the most celebrated pieces of the history of the brand. There will also be photos, images and more details creations of recent years, such as Gucci Cruiser bicyle, a limited edition bike, and surf boards produced in two colors, red and blue.
Gucci large area of the museum will be dedicated to horse riding. Some symbols, the tape strips from the terminal based on the girth of the saddle, are still details of the iconic brand. An additional space of the museum will host clothes designed for celebrities, actors and actresses who have trod the red carpet leading to the world, both past and in recent years.
In the basement will be guarded but the archive with the most valuable pieces, the whole history of the brand. For the opening show of the best craftsmen of the brand to an audience of selected customers and the press the craftsmanship with which bags are still produced icons such as the Bamboo Bag, the New Jackie, G Wave.
