Florence is reconfirmed as source of beauties and cradle of art, as it will host a unique exhibition until 20th October 2012: “Magnifici tre, jewel-books of Lorenzo de’ Medici”. These illuminated codes, ordered by Lorenzo the Magnificent for his daughters, are masterpieces of Renaissance, and they’ll be showed for the first time after five centuries.

Cinema Florence: discover auteur films with the festival “50 Days of International Cinema”

After the amazing success of the past edition, with more than 50.000 viewers, “50 giorni di Cinema Internazionale”, ambitious project composed by 9 cinematographic festivals which bring a rich scheduling of quality movies, returns to Florence from 25th October to 14th December 2012. The festival will take place at Odeon Firenze with full-length films, short films, documentaries, docufictions, videos, previews, debates and meetings with the authors.

To celebrate the fifth centennial of the death of Amerigo Vespucci, famous discoverer of American continent, Florence hosts New Frontier, the exhibit dedicated to history and culture of native inhabitants of America. From 3rd July to 9th December 2012 Pitti Palace will host some of the most precious pieces from the Gilcrease Museum of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one of the most important for the richness of the North-American continent’s manufactures.
