The Rivoli Boutique Hotel of Florence invites you to live the Christmas Magic: from 8th December to 7th January everyday from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm free access to the Nativity Exhibition and Santa’s Village.
The Nativity scenes exhibition made by the Master Claudio Ladurini, at its 6th edition, it became an important occasion to live the Christmas magic in Florence and it will also be proposed again, with new animations, the Big Santa’s Village, by Salvatore Sciuto creations.
The Rivoli Boutique Hotel opens its lobbies to the visitors with the aim to make the hotel a place to live, not only at tourist disposal but also open to the Florentine people.
The Ladurini’s Nativity scenes exhibition this year it is dedicated to the ancient crafts.
The exhibition merge very well with the elegant lobbies of Rivoli Boutique Hotel, that with its fourteenth century Palace, seat until 50 years ago of an ancient convent, became a charming hotel of outstanding beauty well known and beloved by travellers coming from all around the world.
Claudio Ladurini, who until his retirement age was a pastry cook and in these last years realized more than 200 original Nativity Scenes of different sizes and characteristics. Ladurini, born in Fiumalbo (Modena), realizes also today its creations in the small workshop located in the square of his village.
His works, small and large, mechanical and not, are reproductions of Nativity that get us closer to Christmas, reminding us our origins with the old habit of the ancient rural village and the traditions still alive in all of us. The materials skillfully used by the artist are poor and simple such as wood, terracotta, papier-maché and ceramic.
This year Ladurini, among the 30 Nativity scenes, introduces the theme of the past ancient crafts that are going to enrich his vision of Christ birth and bring to the Rivoli Boutique Hotel the memories of Christmas celebrated and lived in the small villages of the Tosco Emiliano Apennine.
Also this year the “Santa’s Village” is going to take an entire lobby of the hall and it will be partially visible from the street. In any case to enjoy all the rich details, the magic lights and the Santa’s activities with the elves and his reindeer we suggest to enter and to dedicate it a little bit of your time, it really worth it.
Chiara Caridi, the owner of Rivoli Boutique Hotel, continues in this way her efforts in making “the hotels not only a tourists heritage: these places are a prize possession of our city and for this reason the hoteliers have to dedicate themselves in creating and hosting new events. In this way it will be possible to give the opportunity to Florentine people to live our ambiences, many of them are in antique and prestigious palaces. The invitation is opened to all the day of the year because our common areas could be used by all the people, thanks to all the services that we can offer, such as a tea during the afternoon or a cocktail in the relaxing internal garden.
“Our very beautiful city – says Chiara Caridi – is an heritage for the Florentine people and then for the tourists and visitors. If we are able to make livable our cities, these will grow and we’ll be able to offer an always richer and more precious plase to all national and international visitors.
As in the past editions it continues the loyalty to support charity organisation, involved in helping and taking care of children and elderly, also thanks to the voluntary contribution of many visitors. Along these we want to donate a part of the offers, integrated by our contribution, to the “Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation” that offers home and assistance to the family members of children suffering from serious diseases. It’s a beautiful way to share with those less fortunate our passion for hospitality that becomes mission and extends itself outside the Hotel walls.
The high enthusiasm of visitors flow, included schools, during the past editions, it has showed us how easy it is to reach this goal and it calls us to continue to study and propose new events.”
Free entrance to the exhibition with the request of a small contribution to support “Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation”. We would like to show that with a very small personal give, it’s possible to reach easily big results, infact last edition was visited by more than 4.000 visitors (tourists and florentine people) a flow of people that we never expected.”
