Well, if you are an ice cream lover looking for innovative tastes this event is for you: from April 21st to April 25th, in fact, Florence will be the location of the Gelato Festival 2016.
The picturesque view from Piazzale Michelangelo will be the background of this important contest whose protagonists from 8 to 16 best gelatieri (ice cream makers) of the area will bring a total of 100 flavors of Italian ice cream, 18 for each stage, specially created for the seventh edition of the festival plus the other 10 flavors out of competition offered from the main sponsors.
Not only Florence, this delightful tour will also reach the cities of Parma, Rome, Naples, Turin, Milan, London and Valencia and then again in the city of Florence for the final in September.

Don’t forget, the Gelato Festival is the most important competition of Italian-style ice cream where a technical jury composed of experts and a popolar jury will award the best ice cream flavor of each stage up to establish the best European gelato in the final one.
