25th April and 1st May in Florence: museums opening time
If you are in Florence for the long weekend of the April 25th (national Italian holiday) or you’re planning a day out in the Tuscan town for the Sunday of the May 1st, don’t worry because the most important florentine museums will be open!
In particular,
Palazzo Vecchio will be open from 9 am to 11 pm, on both dates 25th April and 1st May;
The museum of 900 from 9 am to 7 pm, on both dates 25th April and 1st May;
The museum of Santa Maria Novella on 25/04 from 9 am to 7 pm, while the 01/05 from 1 pm to 5.30 pm;
The Brancacci Chapel on 25th April from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, while the 01/05 from 1 pm to 5 pm;
Bigallo museum from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, on both dates 25th April and 1st May;
Museo Bardini on 25th April from 11 am to 5 pm, while it will be closed on 01st May;
Fondazione Salvatore Romano on 25/04 from 10 am to 5 pm, and closed on 01st May;
The museum Gino Bartali will be closed on both days.
The Uffizi gallery will extraordinarily open on Monday 25th April and Monday 2nd May from 08.15 am to 6.50 pm, also open the Boboli Gardens, the Costume Gallery and the Silver Museum from 08.15 am to 6.30 pm.
All the museums of the Uffizi gallery will however remain closed on 1st of May 2016, except for the Boboli Gardens that will be open from 08.15 am to 6.30 pm.
Other news to report, from April 23rd the visits to the Brancacci chapel and Salvatore Romano Foundation will be possible thanks to the combined ticket at a cost of € 7.00 and € 5.00 for reduced. Tickets can be purchased exclusively in the Brancacci Chapel.
Do not forget, May 1st also corresponds to the 1st Sunday of the month, where Florence opens free its civic museums with guided tours.
