Irish Dance Night at Grand Hotel Adriatico
The Grand Hotel Adriatico after its experience with theatre, Saturday 31st January opens its doors to Irish dance fans: a whole day dedicated to traditional music and dances stage that will continue with dancing night opened to everybody: expert, inexpert dancers, friends and simply meddlers…
Gens d’ys Academy, first italian academy dedicated to traditional irish dances, chooses the Grand Hotel Adriatico as ideal location for its stages, thanks to its proximity with the central railway station of Florence and the end of the tram line. Stages are organized for the academy learners but also for those that cannot attend regularly the weekly courses of florentine school and propose in-depth courses about specific dance styles.
The stage programm of Saturday 31st January is the following:
3.00-6.00 pm Set Dancing: funny dances for 8 dancers with complex choreographies that can be easily learned by the attendees.
6.15-7.15 pm SEAN NÓS DANCING: old style irish solo dance
Two funny, aggregative and engaging style that will be introduced by a very beloved teacher, Tim Flaherty
But it’s also possible to attend just to the dancing night combined with a buffet dinner organized at La Vela Restaurant. Dances will start again around 9.30 pm and will be accompanied by irish traditional musics, played live by The Hidden Note
