The Twentieth Anniversary of Artigianato e Palazzo at Principe Corsini palace in Florence, from 15 to May 18, 2014.
CRAFTS AND PALACE , reality independent nonprofit founded in 1994 from an idea of Blacks Torrigiani and passion of Georgiana Corsini to promote and maintain high artistic craftsmanship and added value of the handmade and the attention to detail, from 15 to May 18, 2014 will celebrate the twentieth anniversary.
By choosing to bet on craft, which actually helped to make it big in the name of our country, but in recent times is facing increasing difficulties in recent years CRAFTS AND PALACE has achieved unexpected: more than 700 master craftsmen invited, more than 140,000 visitors, 140 ancient crafts represented.
It ‘was the first event in Italy that offered the public an opportunity to admire the artisans live and work and achieve their artifacts, in the picturesque scenery of the corner of their shops recreated between the boulevards and the ancient lemon century Giardino Corsini in Florence.
In these twenty years, CRAFTS AND PALACE , has been able to count on support illustrious – including the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Industry, Commerce and Craft Industry, Economic Development , International Trade and Youth – and managed to engage some of the most important institutions engaged in the cultural sector, encouraging the development of internationally Made in Italy.
Many Italian companies that have built their success on the values of craftsmanship, including Gucci, Bvlgari, Roberto Capucci, Loretta Caponi, Vacheron Constantin, The Bison, Officina Profumo di Santa Maria Novella Pharmaceuticals were the protagonists in the years of the Prince of Show CRAFTS AND BUILDING in limonaia Grande del Giardino Corsini, a marvelous example of Italian garden designed by Gherardo Silvani, while the grand lodge of Buontalenti was the setting for spectacular installations and numerous meetings on the issues of manual skills taught by experts and celebrities. 
Suffice it to recall those who have anticipated topics on which still struggles with and “Craft and / or advanced technologies” of 1999 or the even more present “Arts / e-commerce: enemies / friends” of 2000.
Memorable travel abroad and special projects, including the films on show Hats / hat in the cinema organized by CRAFTS AND PALACE , in collaboration with Consorzio Il Cappello di Firenze, Tuscany Media / Film Commission, the Costume Gallery in the Pitti Palace Museum of Straw dell’Intreccio and Signa and hosted by the Institute of Italian Culture in Los Angeles in 2013 to the week of the Oscars ‘”Year of Italian Culture 2013’;the participation of the exhibition “Artisans Passion” in Paris in 2002 and the two big exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka in Japan the previous year on the occasion of the “Italy in Japan 2001”, a special edition of “A & P Young” realized for the first edition of Florens – Biennale of Cultural Heritage in 2010.
Among the most significant collaborations with those OmA Association – Centre for arts and crafts, Precious Stones, Opera del Duomo in Florence, Galleria del Costume of Palazzo Pitti, CNR Ibimet, Florens, Foundation of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Cologni Foundation, the Consortium “Il Cappello di Firenze”, LAO – The Artistic Jewellery Jewellery School, Real Time, City, and Province of Florence.
