Play it! The contemporary music festival in Florence
Confirmed for the third consecutive year Play it! a music festival entirely dedicated to Italian music of our times, giving space to the most interesting musicians, seen as research, creativity and new sounds.
This project has been created within the Orchestra of Tuscany and conceived by Giorgio Battistelli.
The festival will be held at Teatro Verdi from the 26th to the 29th of March and, during all these three days, the theatre will be open from the morning at 10am until midnight.
People will have the opportunity to spend four days at Teatro Verdi, which will host meetings, in-depth studies, debates, award ceremonies and concerts to show the richness of a diverse, dynamic, ever-changing scene
Established composers, performers and young talents will have the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and show their own works.

During every edition, Play It! grants a lifetime achievement award and in 2014 this award will be given to composer Anzio Corghi from Piemonte.
