Art gallery in Florence: discover “Florence in the eyes of the artist”
Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, from age to age has undergone many changes, represented by the exhibit “Florence in the eyes of the artist, from Signorini to Rosai”, which will take place in the Modern art gallery of Pitti Palace, until 28th October 2012.
With 49 paintings, dedicated to views or representation of the city from different points of view, this particular exhibition shows all the Florence’s transformations between XVIII and XX centuries, revealing all the secrets and the beauties as were seen through the eyes of the artists. A part of the paintings it’s never seen before, while the others come from the old Museum Florence as it was, and document places disappeared or changed during time. Some of the painters of the exhibition are: Giuseppe Maria Terreni, Giovanni Signorini, Lorenzo Gelati, Telemaco Signorini, Silvio Pucci, Orlando di Collalto, Antonio Cioci.
