A tempting appointment in Florence with the Gelato Festival 2012
From the 23th to 27th may 2012 ice cream will be the star at Florence, for the third edition of Gelato Festival.
The Festival brings together the best ice cream makers and the main companies from all around the world, highlighting the tradition of Florence, where the ice cream was born and where Mr. Buontalenti invented cold cream, that now become known as “Buontalenti cream”.
The Gelato Festival will consist in 3 different locations:
1. The Village of the Master Gelato Makers and the Emerging Gelato Makers, in Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Here, thanks to open labs you will can see the ice cream preparation, in addition to taste the great artisanal ice cream from the classic tastes to the latest of the sector.
2. The Sammontana Village, in Piazza della Repubblica.
In one of the most suggestive locations of Florence, Sammontana will set up a stall, where you will can taste the flavors that have made the history of Italian ice cream.
3. The Fior Fiore Village of Coop, in Piazza Strozzi, where the protagonists will be the high set of Coop’s products.
The Gelato Festival in Florence will be the opportunity for all ice cream lovers to understand the process of preparation of ice cream, but also to taste the different flavors prepared by master ice cream makers.
